Vintage French Wood Corbels

 
Corbels are used for weight bearing brackets to support doorways, roofs, and ceilings. They are wonderful features to incorporate visual interest and are the perfect architecture element to finish a room.

These beauties have been handcrafted from wood that has been weathered over time. Superb craftsmanship, I found literally just around the corner from my hotel in Lille, France. I happened to stumble upon a take down renovation & met the carpenter. My lucky day that these didn’t fit the doorway to where they were suppose to go!
