Vintage French Armoire Panel

 
1860’s French Armoire Panel. Beautiful Craftsmanship! The panel came from a massive armoire that was accidently dropped down a flight of stairs during a home relocation. I was told it took most of the railing & banister off the staircase as it descended downward to the main hall & made quite a thunderous boom! The broken pieces were salvaged & kept in the family until sold at an estate sale decades later.

The finish is lovely with all its glorious chippiness. You could hang this vertical or would look gorgeous hung horizontally above a doorway. Just be careful around a staircase, Ha!
